Previous Douglas County property tax bills contained two portions to send in with your payments - one for the first half bill and one for the second half bill. The new bills only have a statement for the first payment. How will we know when the second payment is due? Will we get another statement?
Yes, a second statement will be mailed in April, a spokesman with the Douglas County Treasurer's Office said. This is the first time in recent memory that the office will send out two statements instead of one, he said. The second half payment is due May 10. The first half payment is due Dec. 20.
