Who provides the barbecue sandwiches sold at the Kansas University basketball games?
The sandwiches are provided by Bum Steer Catering of Lawrence. Chris Lemmon owns the business and has been providing sandwiches at Allen Fieldhouse and Memorial Stadium for 17 years. The barbecue sandwiches can be found at three Bum Steer barbecue stands in the fieldhouse. There are two on the first floor at the north and south ends. The third is on the second floor on the east side. Bum Steer Catering has been in operation since 1980 and caters all over town. Lemmon also used to sell barbecue in his former restaurant, Bum Steer B-B-Q. For more information, visit www.bumsteercatering.com.
