How is the Dole Institute financed for personnel for daily operations and special speakers and the like?
According to Dole Institute director Bill Lacy, personnel and daily operations are covered by the university. The ultimate goal is for this to be covered by the institute's endowment. The endowment is reaching $6 million, but has a way to go to reach a goal of about $20 million to $25 million.
As for programming, the lion's share is covered by endowment, sponsorship and contributions, Lacy said.
