How many mumps cases have there been now in Douglas County and Kansas?

As of Thursday, Douglas County has 272 confirmed or probable mumps cases during this year's outbreak, said Sheryl Tirol Goodwin, a spokeswoman for the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department.

Statewide, as of Wednesday, there were 744 confirmed or probable cases, according to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Since the third week of May, the number of new Kansas cases has dramatically decreased, according to the KDHE.
