Can you tell me whether the Monarch Watch program at Kansas University is going to have an open house this year? And will they be selling milkweed like they have in the past?

The 2006 Monarch Watch open house and fundraiser will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 13 at Foley Hall on KU's west campus. "It'll be bigger and better than ever," said Monarch Watch director Orley "Chip" Taylor. Plans call for nearly 4,000 butterfly-friendly plants, annuals and perennials being available. "We'll have two kinds of milkweed we've never had before - one of which will grow in the shade," Taylor said.
