What is Kansas University's enrollment for this fall, and how did it compare to other universities in the state?

KU's enrollment is 29,624, a record for the university. Growth came at KU Medical Center with 80 more students to compensate for a drop of 46 students on the Lawrence and Edwards campuses. On Thursday, the Kansas Board of Regents announced 2005 fall semester enrollment for all state universities: Kansas State University, 23,182; Wichita State University, 14,076; Fort Hays State University, 9,019; Pittsburg State University, 6,628; and Emporia State University, 6,288.
