Is it illegal to leave a car parked on a busy residential street for two to three weeks while a person is away on vacation and the car is never moved during that time? Shouldn't it be left in one's own driveway and not away from the house?

City Manager Mike Wildgen said it is illegal to store vehicles on public rights-of-way for more than 48 hours. But there is no requirement that cars must be parked in driveways if one is available.
