I missed watching the Kansas City Chiefs play on Sunday since the team was on its "bye week." But at least they got some extra rest for their next game. How do the Chiefs usually do after "bye weeks"?
Dating back to 1997, Kansas City has split its eight games that have followed a "bye week" - winning the games in odd-numbered years and losing them in the even years. If the trend holds - with 2005 being an odd year - then the Chiefs are due for a victory when they play host to the Washington Redskins next Sunday.
