Sound Off

I've been told that when using roundabouts the motorist on the right has the right of way. I thought you had to yield to the left in a roundabout - which is it, yield to the left or to the right?

According to driving tips posted on the city's Web site, motorists should yield to vehicles already in the roundabout, wait for a gap in traffic and then merge into traffic in the roundabout in a counterclockwise direction. To exit, motorists should signal then exit the roundabout to their right.
