I would like to know what happened to the cemetery that used to be behind Riverside School?
It is still there, said Tom Bracciano, the Lawrence school district's operations and facility planning division director. The district has owned Adams Cemetery since the late 1960s. The property is not directly behind Riverside School. It is north of where Michigan Street stops at a dead end. Officials currently have no plans for the property that is overgrown with mature trees and not easily accessible, Bracciano said. It has been there since the mid-1800s.
