Which legislators in our area voted against overriding Gov. Sebelius' veto on the bill regarding abortion clinics?

The bill would have imposed new restrictions on abortion clinics. Sebelius vetoed it April 15, and the House attempted an override April 28.

It takes a two-thirds vote in each chamber to override a governor's veto, 84 votes in the House and 27 votes in the Senate. The override of the clinic bill failed in the House by two votes, with 82 votes to override and 42 against. Among local and area representatives, those voting against an override - in other words to support Sebelius' veto - were Barbara Ballard, D-Lawrence, Paul Davis, D-Lawrence, Tom Holland, D-Baldwin, Ann Mah, D-Topeka, and Tom Sloan, R-Lawrence.

Those voting to override were Anthony Brown, R-Eudora, Joann Flower, R-Oskaloosa, and Joe Humerickhouse, R-Osage City.
