How much did the school district spend on making the video about teenagers' drug use that was shown not too long ago at the Lawrence Arts Center? Also, how much did they spend to make one copy for every junior high kid in the district? I want to know why they couldn't have made fewer copies and loaned them out and brought them back when funds in the district are so tight.

"The cost of the DVD production ... was approximately $33,750 or $10.23 per unit," said Chris Squier, the district's Safe Schools/Healthy Students project director. Duplication on DVD and VHS cost $2.48 each. The project was funded by federal grants that required the development of a social marketing campaign. Squier said project's marketing committee did not think having the DVDs available for checkout would have been as effective.
