Can you bring me up to date on David Padgett, the Kansas University basketball player who left the team last year? Where is he? How is he doing?
Padgett, 20, transferred to the University of Louisville after the 2004 spring semester. After sitting out the 2004-05 season, he's expected to play a major role in the Cardinals' rebuilding effort. The team lost its three top playmakers to graduation and the NBA.
In April, Cardinals' coach Rick Pitino announced that Padgett had been named a team captain for the 2005-06 season. He told the Louisville media: "David has great leadership skills and his experience will be much needed by a young basketball team that will play its first season in the Big East Conference next season."
