Is it really illegal to order prescription drugs from Canada?
It depends on where the drugs were manufactured.
If they were made in the United States and shipped to Canada, it's illegal to "reimport" them, explained Katie Glendening, community services program assistant at Douglas County Senior Services.
If they were manufactured in Canada, it's not illegal.
"It's not importation that's illegal, it's reimportation," she said, adding that while she had "not heard of anybody getting arrested, it's a possibility."
