Kansas City television channel Fox 4 is showing baseball's American League Championship Series and National League Championship Series in high definition and also will have the World Series in HD. Why isn't a Fox HD channel available on Sunflower Broadband?
A Fox spokesman says the HD signal from Fox 4 in Kansas City, Mo., travels only about 10 miles and thus cannot be picked up by Sunflower Broadband. The station representative said Fox 4 hoped to install the equipment necessary to extend its HD signal by the middle of next year.
"If we can technically receive it," said Patrick Knorr, general manager of Sunflower Broadband, "we'd like to carry it because it has the NFL as well."
