I've always heard that it is illegal to drive barefooted. Is there really a law that says that it is illegal to drive without shoes on your feet?

No. Lawrence Police spokesman Sgt. Dan Ward said "the 2004 Standard Traffic Ordinances for Kansas Cities do not prohibit a person from driving without shoes."
