I know U.S. Rep. Dennis Moore, the Democrat, beat his Republican challenger, Republican Kris Kobach, in Douglas and Wyandotte counties. How did Moore do in GOP-heavy Johnson County?

Moore won Johnson County as well, collecting slightly more than 50 percent of the vote. Kobach had 48 percent. Libertarian and Reform Party candidates Joe Bellis and Richard Wells, respectively, divided the remaining 2 percent.

Johnson County accounts for almost three-fourths of the 3rd Congressional District's registered voters.

Historically, Moore has trailed his opponents in Johnson County, finding enough Douglas and Wyandotte votes to put him over the top.
