Why were only a thousand tickets offered in the Fieldhouse for Clinton's lecture when there are 16,000 seats available?
Actually, the Dole Institute of Politics gave out 12,000 seats. When the event was scheduled for the Lied Center, 1,200 were reserved for VIPs and donors, and 700 were given to the public. Later, when the lecture was moved to Allen Fieldhouse, an additional two sets of 5,000 tickets for students and the general public were distributed.
