How many votes will it take for the gay-marriage ban to clear the House?

The proposed amendment to the state constitution to ban gay marriages, which passed the Senate with a two-thirds majority of 27-13 on Saturday, needs 84 votes in the House to stay alive. If it receives 84 votes today in the House, the measure will go on the ballot for Kansas voters to decide in November.
