I was just reading the article on "School board finalizes boundary committee," and I noticed that there are no representatives from elementary schools. Why did they do this?
"Adding a representative from each of the 15 elementary schools would make the total number of members on the committee 27," said Tom Bracciano, director of operations and facility planning for Lawrence Public Schools. "The site council representatives from the junior high schools are a conduit for elementary school input. In addition, all boundary committee meetings are open to the public and, if scheduled in advance, comment will be taken from those wishing to speak to the committee."
