The Journal-World reported Sunday that Clinton Lake is down 2.7 feet below normal. If that is the case, why are they letting so much water out of the reservoir.
As of Monday, the lake was 2.5 feet above the normal summer level, operations manager Lew Ruona said. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is currently releasing 500 cubic feet of water per second. It had been dumping 1,000 cfs, he said.
