We saw that the Lawrence school district has an employee reclassification study done and they had 35 appeals out of 100, and we were wondering which ones they pass and why? How many passed and who were they?
Lawrence Public Schools personnel director Robert Arevalo said the comprehensive study of classified employees in the district was conducted over the past two years. An 11-member appeals committee, nine of whom were classified employees, reviewed 33 individual appeals and 16 position appeals, Arevalo said. He said among the 49 total appeals, 28 received a change in title, range or both, and 21 received no change. For more information, people can contact Arevalo at 832-5008 ext. 631.
