What is the difference between pop-up showers, isolated showers and scattered showers?

A pop-up shower is a quick rain that occurs without a weather front behind it and there is no real reason for it, according to Steve Kays, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Topeka. "If there are a lot of pop-ups then it becomes scattered showers or isolated," Kays said.
