Since Lawrence is only one of six school districts in Kansas that still has their ninth-graders in junior high school, will they still be allowed to vote on the new state quarter like most ninth-graders in Kansas?
"We haven't received information about student voting on the new state quarter design yet," said Julie Boyle, communications director for Lawrence public schools. "If the state targets all Kansas ninth-graders for an April vote, we don't think it should matter what kind of school they attend."
