Which Lawrence stores deliver groceries to the homebound?
The Hy-Vee Food & Drug stores at 4000 W. Sixth St. and 3504 Clinton Parkway will deliver to the homebound, management said. Checkers Foods, 2300 La., has a few homebound people for whom it delivers. A manager said he wasn't sure how many more they could add to the list, but people were welcome to call and ask. Food 4-Less, 2525 Iowa, will deliver to the homebound if resources are available on that particular day. A manager said the store would "bend over backwards" to try to make the delivery.
Dillons stores make floral and pharmacy deliveries but are generally not set up to deliver groceries, a manager said.
