I'm wondering why there are so many windows at Cordley School that are boarded over.

Windows at Cordley School, 1837 Vt., are being replaced as part of a capital improvement plan, said Tom Bracciano, division director of operations and facility planning for the Lawrence school district.

Bracciano said crews take out the old windows and board up the area. The workers are replacing the windows, but have to work around the school schedule so students won't be impacted by noise, he said.

The project should be done by early September.
