Sound Off
I was wondering how Sen. Susan Wagle, R-Wichita, came out in her contest. I haven't noticed anything in the papers.
As reported Aug. 4 in the Journal-World, Wagle easily defeated former Wichita mayor Bob Knight in the GOP primary. The final tally, according to the Kansas Secretary of State's Office: Wagle, 5,536; Knight, 3,091.
Wagle, a conservative who in 2002 accused Kansas University professor Dennis Dailey of showing pornographic videos in his class on human sexuality, will be opposed by David Clark Jr., a Democrat, and Donald Harter, a Libertarian, in the Nov. 2 general election.
After an investigation by Kansas University officials, Wagle's allegations were found to be without merit.
