Why is Laidlaw using the Centennial School parking lot for parking buses, and are they renting the facility from the school district?

"Lawrence public schools contract with Laidlaw to provide student transportation," said Rick Gammill, the district's director of special operations, safety and transportation. "We are pleased that Laidlaw has the opportunity to add several new factory-ordered buses to its fleet to continue to provide high-quality service to our students. The district is allowing Laidlaw to store the new buses in the parking lot at 2145 La. at no charge until May 6, at which time they will replace used buses at the Lawrence Laidlaw branch facility at 1548 E. 23rd St."
