Is there any place in Lawrence where you can drop off old computers for recycling?
Yes. If they are still usable and will run Windows 95 or newer programs, you can take them to Computer Learning Center at Independence Inc., 2001 Haskell Ave. If it is a MacIntosh, it should have the capability of using OS 8.0 or higher. For more specific requirements, visit Independence Inc.'s Web site at www.independenceinc.org.
Douglas County Senior Services, 745 Vt., also will accept old computers for recycling. They must have Pentium III and be capable of running Windows 98 or newer.
