Does the city of Lawrence have any rules or laws about gang graffiti? I'm starting to see gang graffiti popping up all over the city.
Making graffiti is punishable by a fine of $250 to $1,000 and a possible jail sentence. Also, city ordinance requires property owners to remove graffiti. If the owner fails to remove it within 14 days of receiving an official notice, the city removes it and bills the cost to the property owner.
