I know I'm supposed to drive with a seat belt on, but can I be ticketed if my husband refuses to wear one while riding in our car as a passenger while I'm driving?

Only if your spouse is sitting in the front seat. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, state law requires that adult drivers and their front-seat passengers wear a seat belt. Additionally, any child age 4 years or younger is required to wear a seat belt regardless of where they are seated in the vehicle.
