Sound Off

I thought the Legislature was finished for the year. Now I hear there's still more to the session. Is this right?

There is. But when the House of Representatives and Senate returns on May 29, members likely will not take up any substantive matters. Little but ceremonial business ever is conducted on the closing day of the session, Sine Die. Both houses of the Legislature will adjourn "sine die" -- Latin for "without a date" -- at 10 a.m. May 29.
