A couple times this year, KU's basketball team had to give up the ball because of the five-second rule. What is the five-second rule?

There are three five-second rules, each resulting in a change of possession:

¢ When a team can't get the ball inbounds within five seconds.

¢ When a player has the ball, is being pressured and doesn't go anywhere for five seconds.

¢ When a player, guarded or unguarded, dribbles in one spot for five seconds.
