Is Damien Lewis still in the Douglas County Jail?
No. According to the Kansas Department of Corrections' Web site, Lewis has been a maximum security inmate since June 24 at Lansing Correctional Facility.
Lewis, 22, was sentenced on June 13 to at least 158 years in prison after pleading guilty to the July 10, 2002, murders of Lawrence residents Pete Wallace and Wyona Chandlee.
