When will the new recreational facility at KU open, and does it have a name? And also, what will it cost? Is it possible for the nonuniversity community to use it?

The Student Recreation Fitness Center at Kansas University is scheduled to open Sept. 15. It will be free for students and available to faculty and staff who pay a $250 annual fee. In addition, former students who paid fees for the center will be allowed to use it for the number of years they paid. For instance, if someone paid the student fee for two years before graduating, they'll be allowed to use the center for two years.

Community members who are not students, faculty or staff will not be allowed to use the center.
