Is the city already repairing the stretch of 15th Street just west of Iowa Street, near the Dole Institute? Wasn't that section improved just before the center's dedication? What happened?
City Manager Mike Wildgen said: "City inspectors found problems with the concrete (probably due to the concrete mix) and we are requiring removal and replacement of those sections by the contractor, LRM."
The city paid $250,000 for the original project. The repairs are being made at no cost to the city.
