How long can cars be parked on residential streets without moving? I've called the police dispatch twice about two cars ... neither one has moved and it has been several weeks since I called.
Those cars should have been removed. City ordinance 17-202 says that with some exceptions, any vehicle parked for more than 48 hours on a public street may be towed, as long as the driver has been given 48 hours' before notice and an opportunity for a hearing. Sgt. Mike Pattrick, a spokesman for the Lawrence Police Department, suggests making another call to police dispatch.
