What happened to Kansas University football coach Mark Mangino after he berated the officials after Lawrence High School's football game against Olathe East?

As reported in the Sept. 25 Journal-World, Lawrence High Principal Dick Patterson admitted he had taken action, but he declined to name the person - although it was clearly Mangino because his tirade was witnessed by hundreds of people.

"We handle all such cases on a confidential level," Patterson said. "It's between the student, the parents and the school."

Mangino, whose son Tommy was the Lions' quarterback, attended the rest of the games on the LHS schedule without incident.
