What is the difference between KU Med and Kansas University Medical Center?

The Journal-World refers to Kansas University's entire Kansas City, Kan., campus as the KU Medical Center. It includes the School of Medicine, School of Nursing and School of Allied Health.

The campus also includes KU Med, the hospital affiliated with KU that is no longer under state control. When the Journal-World refers to KU Med, it is only the hospital.
