How many transfer students are there at the three Lawrence elementary schools that might be closed?
The school board has earmarked Centennial, East Heights and Riverside schools for closure.
According to a district report, large numbers of students transfer into or out of the three school boundary areas. The schools, their enrollment and transfer numbers are:
¢ Centennial, 2145 La.: 185 students, 62 transfers in, 22 transfers out.
¢ East Heights, 1430 Haskell Ave.: 157 students, 29 transfers in, 66 transfers out.
¢ Riverside, 601 N. Iowa: 110 students, 22 transfers in, 27 transfers out.
