What was the outcome of the case involving Officer Terry Haak supposedly finding a foreign substance on the chicken fingers he ordered at McDonald's on 23rd Street?

Sgt. Mike Pattrick, spokesman for the Lawrence Police Department, said the June 21 incident remained under investigation. Upon completion of the investigation, a report will be filed with the city commission and shared with the public.

Reportedly, a high school student working at McDonald's was taken downtown and questioned for more than three hours after Haak found something on his chicken fingers that looked like lint. The student's parents later filed a complaint with the Police Department's Internal Affairs Unit, prompting the probe.
