Is it true that the Sheriff's Office doesn't have performance evaluations? Why not?
That is not true, according to Douglas County Sheriff Rick Trapp. A system is in place for evaluating employee job performance on a continuing basis throughout the year, Trapp said. Half of the merit raise is contingent on job performance. Also, public safety employees are tested yearly for physical fitness. Each employee must attain a certain score to receive the other half of the merit raise.
