Is there a limit on how many times a home can have a yard sale or garage sale before it becomes a business? If so, does it have to be registered?
City staff attorney Toni Wheeler said: "The city has no regulations specifically limiting the number of times a home can have a yard or garage sale. However, if the number and/or frequency of sales on residential property means the property is really a commercial use, then the property owner would be in violation of the city's zoning code."
