Given the record number of Fulbrights that Kansas University has this year, how does it rank compared with other universities?

KU technically has 10 faculty Fulbright scholars for the 2002-2003 school year. That ties KU for first in the Fulbright rankings, according to Anne Merydith-Wolf, project coordinator for KU's international programs.

Pennsylvania State University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison also have 10 scholars this year.

Merydith-Wolf pointed out that KU is smaller than the other two schools, making the number even more remarkable. KU has 25,782 students and 1,398 faculty, compared with 40,828 students and 2,872 faculty at Penn State and 41,522 students and 2,213 faculty at Wisconsin-Madison.
