Sound Off

I drive U.S. Highways 59 and 56 every day between 11 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. and not once have I seen a state or county trooper patrolling the area. Why are they not putting an officer out there to patrol the area to try to catch the people who are throwing items at windshields?

Douglas County Sheriff Rick Trapp said there had been an extensive investigation of the vandalism incidents using marked and unmarked patrol units on Highways 59 and 56. That investigation continues, he said.
