Sound Off

Is it true that KU has closed Anschutz Pavilion to walkers in the morning and that KU will no longer allow the Lawrence High-Free State football game to be at Memorial Stadium?

As reported in Sound Off last week, Anschutz is closed to walkers from 6 a.m. -9 a.m. to allow football and soccer workouts, but is open to the public from 9 a.m. to noon. However, Allen Fieldhouse is open to walkers at 6 a.m. As to the Lawrence High-Free State question, KU associate athletic director Richard Konzem said: "There's no truth to that at all. We've tried to get both Lawrence High and Free State to play at Memorial Stadium. This year it's Lawrence High's turn, but they declined the offer."
