What exactly is Kwanzaa?

According to the Official Kwanzaa Web Site, the holiday was established in 1966 to provide an opportunity for the black American community to celebrate its heritage and reinforce positive community values.

Kwanzaa is celebrated for seven days, Dec. 26-Jan. 1. On Dec. 31 a feast is traditionally prepared for family and friends.
