What does DCCCA stand for?

Originally, DCCCA stood for Douglas County Citizens Committee on Alcoholism.

About 14 years ago, the program adopted the acronym pronounced "decka" as its official title in an effort to hold on to its name recognition while moving away from the perception that its services only dealt with alcoholism.

Currently, DCCCA programs provide both drug and alcohol treatment and family preservation services. It also operates mental health programs in prisons at Lansing, Norton, Hutchinson and Winfield and, in Colorado, at Canon City and Sterling.
