How did Pamela Butler's killer get the 40 antidepressant drugs to commit suicide? Surely they didn't give him the whole bottle?
Keith Nelson, the man convicted of killing Pamela Butler, hoarded pills from other inmates during a period of several months. He hid them in cosmetic substances and then took them all at once, said Chris Whitley, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the western district of Missouri.
Nelson recently pleaded guilty to killing the 10-year-old Kansas City, Kan., girl in 1999 and burying her body in Grain Valley, Mo. A federal jury is now hearing evidence to determine if he should get the death penalty.
