What is Laidlaw's policy on buses being parked in neighborhoods over- night?
Bob Osborn, Laidlaw's branch manager, said some employees park buses at their residence during the day or overnight. The dayside people are typically between driving shifts. Buses are also parked at homes sometimes when a driver returns from a late trip, he said.
Osborn said staff at Laidlaw, 1548 E. 23rd St., advise employees of a city ordinance prohibiting parking of large vehicles (wider than 8 feet, longer than 20 feet, higher than 8 feet) on public residential streets for more than two hours.
"If they park in the driveway, there's no ordinance covering that," he said.
